Saving Unity data as part of configuration

I'm looking for a way to save my Unity configuration in my configuration source. I couldn't find a direct way to do it so I'll build a configurable class which would hold the unity data.

Is there a more intuitive way to do that?

Do I understand that you want to configure a Unity container instance using the API and then dump out that configuration to a configuration file? If that's what you want, no, there's no support for that.

If you want something else I'm obviously not understanding what you mean.

Unity 1.2 config didn't support saving config sections. Unity 2.0 does, so you could build up a configuration section in memory if you want and then write it out using ConfigurationManager.

Thank you for your answer.

I'm looking for a way that would enable me to manage my unity data via the entlib UI tool, and keep the saved data with all the rest of my configurations. The part which I'm most intereted in is keeping the data with the rest of the configurations. I'm using a DB as my configuration source and I'm looking for a way to add the Unity section to it.
