Why do you allow us to create a new NamedEventArgs with a null name?

Hello,

When do we need to create a new NamedEventArgs with a null name?

 
 protected NamedEventArgs()
  {
  }

You should never need to create one. But anyway, in Unity null is a perfectly valid and quite common name (when used as a type/name pair).

 In that case, you guys should have removed this construtor from NamedEventArges class since no code (except child class) is using it. What do you say?

I think child classes ARE using it and therefore there is code that uses it and it should be left alone.
