Change Audit Using Unity?

I'm currently developing a system which needs to be able to audit changes on certain objects, for example, on Create, Update and Deletes. I'd like to do this as an XML record of the changed values, and it's not difficult for Creates and Deletes, the problem is with the Updates.

We have a business layer which uses the Data Access Block to push and pull data in and out of the database, and it would be great if I could just use an injection which creates the XML snapshot on load.

Obviously, I'm OK generating the XML, but my question is whether there is a method I can intercept which will allow me to automatically to generate that initial snapshot?
